Description
This SKADI oil cooler kit is built for applications where extra engine-oil temperature control is required, including track cars, tuned road cars, turbo conversions and high-load use.
What to expect in the box
Common parts to all configurations
- 1 x 4m AN-10 oil cooler hose
- 2 x 90-degree SKADI AN-10 fittings
- 2 x 45-degree SKADI AN-10 fittings
- 2 x straight SKADI AN-10 fittings
Optional/selectable parts
- 1 x black 16/19/25-row SKADI oil cooler
- Sandwich plate or oil-filter relocation hardware depending on selected option
- Thermostatic upgrade where selected
- Oil filter where selected
Selecting a cooler size
A larger cooler adds more oil capacity and more cooling surface area. This helps dissipate more heat, but non-thermostatic setups should be sized carefully to avoid over-cooling during low-load or cold operation.
Sandwich or relocation?
A sandwich plate fits at the engine oil-filter position and routes oil through the cooler. A relocation kit allows the oil filter to be mounted elsewhere, which can improve access and packaging on tighter engine bays.
Thermostatic?
The thermostatic option helps prevent over-cooling by opening the cooler circuit only once oil temperature has risen. This is useful for cars used in mixed road and performance conditions.
Further info
The 4m hose is supplied cut-to-length so the cooler can be positioned to suit the installation. Cooler mounting brackets are not supplied unless specifically stated; secure vehicle-specific mounting will need to be fabricated or sourced separately.
